2018 Wealth Professional Awards finalists revealed

TORONTO, March 21, 2018 /CNW/ - The finalists of this year's Wealth Professional Awards have been announced, after a rigorous nomination and selection process in 23 categories.

All that remains are the final stage of judging by the independent panel of industry experts, followed by the live announcement of winners at the Wealth Professional Awards ceremony brought to you by Invesco Canada on May 31 at Toronto's Liberty Grand.

Among the awards to be given are the Mandeville Private Client Inc. Award for Advisor of the Year, the iShares by BlackRock Award for Portfolio/Discretionary Manager of the Year, the CI Investments Award for Top Advisor Office (10 Staff or Fewer), and the newly added CEO of the Year Award and the Mackenzie Investments Award for Female Trailblazer of the Year.

According to Wealth Professional Awards event director Chris Davis, the finalist selection process was more tightly contested than ever this year, with a marked rise in entries for 2018.

"The process of choosing a winner is both a diligent and meticulous one, with participation just in the nomination process alone growing year after year, but we relish such a task because we've become a trusted institution in the Canadian wealth management and advisory industry," said Davis.

"We couldn't ask for a more comprehensive line-up of this industry's most dedicated, diligent and diverse individuals and organizations. They demonstrate the resilience, innovation and sheer management smarts it takes to build a thriving business today," he added.

The black-tie awards ceremony hosted by 'TV's funniest woman' Jessi Cruickshank will welcome over 600 top advisors and wealth professionals from across Canada to recognise the very best of the best. Those who wish to attend the event are urged to reserve and purchase seats as soon as possible.
