Checkout.com Continues U.S. Expansion With Launch of San Francisco Office

LAS VEGAS, March 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

International online payment solutions provider Checkout.com is expanding its operations, with the opening of a second U.S. office in San Francisco.

Checkout.com's continued growth in the market is being led by ex-Adyen North America President, Peter Caparso. The expansion is a result of increasing U.S. customer demand for a global payment solutions provider that can support ambitious, fast-growing retailers.

Checkout.com works directly with businesses to handle payments in any country, via a single integration. It connects e-commerce businesses seamlessly with all credit and debit cards, and major alternative payment methods, via entirely proprietary technology. Removing all third-party intermediaries eliminates the need for multiple service providers and consolidates the entire payment process.

The new opening brings Checkout.com's total headcount to 200 employees worldwide; across eight offices including London, Berlin, and Singapore. Peter Caparso, who has also previously held leadership positions at Worldpay, and launched Adyen in North America, is leading the charge and growing both the U.S. headcount and Checkout.com's customer portfolio.

"The market is responding positively to our agile, consultative approach to online payment services," says Caparso. "Having a 100% proprietary platform allows our product roadmap to be fully customer-centric and allows us to respond quickly to evolving retailer needs. Whichever sector, our product empowers businesses with a desire and a need to scale and take that crucial next step."

Guillaume Pousaz, Founder and CEO of Checkout.com says, "Our new San Francisco office reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of high-tech and mobile-first businesses.  Our focus is on helping e-commerce retailers to optimize their payments, increase their revenues, and meet the ever-dynamic needs of their customers. We're excited to have already started working with innovative companies in the San Francisco Bay Area - helping them scale smoothly and efficiently, and make a real mark in their industry."

Checkout.com processes payments in over 150+ currencies and existing customers include Samsung, Virgin and Adidas.
