Two Vegan Sistas Restaurant Converts from Dine-In to All Carry-Out

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Two Vegan Sistas is a vegan restaurant located at 6343 Summer Ave, Ste. 110 Memphis, TN 38134. The restaurant is owned by two biological sisters who are vegan, Dr. Bretta King and Belinda King.  Belinda King is veteran who served in the Air Force and specializes in art and foreign languages. Dr. Bretta has a PhD in chemistry and has a background in education, laboratory work, and nutrition.

Bretta has been vegan for 19 years, while Belinda has been vegan for 10 years. Two Vegan Sistas has been opened since 2013, and the business has continued to flourish over the years. The 'sistas' use a 'down to Earth', non-judgmental approach.  One of their mottos is 'Just like you don't have to be Italian to eat at an Italian restaurant, you don't have to be vegan to eat at a vegan restaurant'. And, most of their customers are not vegan, since Memphis has a very small vegan population.

The sistas did not open Two Vegan Sistas to make everyone a vegetarian. They opened the restaurant to provide healthier choices for those who want them.  However, the sistas do provide free consultations to those who are interested in health/vegetarianism.  Regardless of the fact that most of their customers are not vegetarian, their customers love their food.

Two Vegan Sistas is most well known for their meal plans. The meal plan allows customers to receive a variety of meals for as little as $6.50 per meal!  Due to the overwhelming response that they have received on their meal plans, they are now converting their dine-in restaurant to an all carry-out facility. 

The sistas make over 90% of the food on their menus and all of the recipes are their original recipes. As a result, it is difficult for them to keep up with the demand. Their new system will go in effect on April 1st. All customers will have to call their orders in, at least 24 hours in advance. With the new system, the restaurant will be able to provide more flexible delivery options as well as more flexible pick up times. The sistas will continue to cater, and they will rent out their restaurant for meetings, parties, etc.
