Plantations International Opens Client Care Centre in Surabaya, Indonesia


SURABAYA, Indonesia, March 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Plantations International is very pleased to announce that through its fully owned Indonesian subsidiary PT Gaharu Kapita Indonesia has opened a brand new client care centre in the city of Surabaya which is located on the Island of Java in Indonesia.

The new client care centre will be responsible for educating existing clients in the latest Agarwood growing technologies and Agarwood inoculation methods, as well as on-boarding new clients in the area.

Agarwood oil, also known as "Oud Oil," is one of the most precious, rare and certainly most expensive essential oils in existence today. The essential oil is derived from the heartwood of the Aquilaria tree. There are a number of popular species but typically Aquilaria Malaccensis or Aquilaria Crassna are used to make the oil. Plantations International currently has Aquilaria tree plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia, and new Aquilaria plantations are planned for Thailand in Q4 of 2018 and for Vietnam in Q1 of 2019.
