"One of Fujifilm's goals is to provide instant access to image data anytime and anywhere, regardless of the size of the dataset," said Bill Lacy, Vice President of Medical Informatics at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. "Fujifilm's latest image visualization technology utilizes server side rendering with a zero footprint platform to provide access with sub second performance to these demanding, full fidelity Cardiac datasets. At this year's ACC, we were excited to showcase our next generation image delivery technology coupled with our industry leading, next-generation structured reporting solution for Cardiology."

The following products were on display at ACC:

Synapse Cardiovascular? Synapse Cardiovascular (CV) provides a comprehensive enterprise solution, with workflow modules across the cardiovascular service line. Diagnostic capabilities for image analysis and structured clinical reporting are available for echocardiography (adult, pediatric, fetal, and stress), cardiac catheterization, invasive peripheral vascular, noninvasive vascular, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT/MR, and ECG management. Synapse CV provides physicians secure remote access for image review and clinical report creation from any location. Physicians can reduce the time needed to generate clinical reports using auto-populating procedural documentation and measurement data within the system to automatically generate the clinical interpretation for the exam. Version 6.1 was recently released to improve the physician user experience within the Clinical Reporting Application and supports advanced Interventional Cardiology Reporting, with a new aneurysm tool added to the Invasive Diagrams. The release also features advanced Echocardiography Reporting which provides trend of a measurement or calculation over the patient's entire history, and automatically displays the prior study's value and z-score for each measurement and calculation.

Synapse 3D? Designed for use across multiple specialties including cardiology, radiology, surgery and more, Synapse 3D is an enterprise-wide solution for performing advanced visualization workflows and accessing 3D rendered images. Full integration with Synapse Cardiovascular and Synapse 5 PACS means one-click access from any Synapse client. Synapse 3D offers more than 30 clinical functions to choose from, with many functions utilizing Fujifilm's Image Intelligencetm capability. 3D imaging improves visualization for complex cardiac interventions and procedure planning including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).  It also serves as a resource to review Cardiac CT and Cardiac MR Images. It provides tool sets to assess coronary angiography, cardiac function, calcium scoring and to assist in electrophysiology planning.

Synapse zero footprint Cardiovascular Viewer1? A next-generation, secure server-side technology that enables instant access of massive datasets.  Synapse Cardiovascular Viewer works within the most popular browsers while using less bandwidth throughout the enterprise. Providing the ability to immediately interact with the data in Synapse Cardiovascular, this viewer facilitates productivity and a better overall user experience.

Fujifilm also participated in the ACC's National Cardiology Data Registry® auxiliary meeting which was held March 7 ? 9, 2018 at the Caribe Royal, Orlando, FL. NCDR is the largest registry, quality improvement program, and outcomes research network in the United States. It encompasses both hospital-based registries and a practice-based program. The NCDR is uniquely positioned to help participating facilities and other medical professionals to identify and close gaps in quality of care; reduce wasteful and inefficient care variations; and implement effective, continuous quality improvement processes.

1 Synapse zero footprint Cardiovascular Viewer is a work-in-progress and is not commercially available in the United States.
