Ortho Clinical Diagnostics to Host Transfusion Medicine Summit in China

RARITAN, N.J. and SHANGHAI, March 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (Ortho), a global leader of in vitro diagnostics, will host its second annual Transfusion Medicine Summit in Xi'an, China, on March 17, 2018.  At the event, leading experts in transfusion medicine will present on key topics to an audience of more than 100 laboratory and medical professionals.  Ortho will also launch its ORTHO VISION^® Platform, which matches blood for use in transfusion, in China at the event.

At the event, Ortho will also formally launch its ORTHO VISION Platform, which helps blood banks keep pace with growing industry pressure to increase productivity while remaining operationally efficient, by improving workflow and standardizing systems and processes.  It also automates complex immunohematology testing, such as serial dilutions for titration studies, reflex tests and selected cell antibody identification. The ORTHO VISION Platform is comprised of the ORTHO VISION Max, which was developed for mid- to high-volume labs, and the ORTHO VISION, which was developed for low- to mid-volume labs.
