Government of Canada awards financial assistance to this Lac-Saint-Jean business

SAINT-FÉLICIEN, QC, March 15, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) - Businesses need to be able to rely on adequate resources to create and commercialize innovative products. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting innovative Canadian enterprises. As a true economic driver, innovation is the key to success because it generates growth that benefits businesses and communities.

Richard Hébert, Member of Parliament for Lac-Saint-Jean, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, is announcing that Manufacture Thomas Gosselin has been granted $17,500 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution, to improve its productivity and to help it expand.

Founded in 1969, this rapidly expanding family business specializes in the manufacture and sales of workwear, notably for the mining sector, as well as snowmobile clothing and outdoor apparel. Its products are mostly carried by retailers in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

The funding awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program helped Manufacture Thomas Gosselin acquire new high-performance production equipment and specialized computer equipment.
