Lignum Veneer: Increasing production through artificial intelligence - Government of Canada awards $898,500 in financial assistant to the Victoriaville business

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, today announced that a repayable contribution of $898,500 has been granted to Lignum Veneer to help it upgrade its technological level, become more competitive and improve working conditions.
Lignum Veneer specializes in wood and stone veneers and excels in splicing specialized wood veneers of various grades, species and sizes, as well as stone veneers.
A highly innovative company, Lignum Veneer has optimized its production line over the years. It uses a skilled labour force, providing employees with three years of training. In order to continue growing, it now has to automate its veneer manufacturing processes.
