ATLANTA, March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In partnership with GreenPrint, the Arbor Day Foundation, and GROW Enrichment, Tri Star Energy and its Twice Daily convenience store locations have partnered to offer Thrivetm - a reduced emissions program dedicated to reducing emissions while giving back to the Middle Tennessee community. The sustainability program is set to launch in April of 2018 at all Twice Daily locations.

Residents and visitors in Middle Tennessee can look forward to reducing their carbon footprint, planting trees, and lessening their impact on the environment just by refueling at any of the Twice Daily locations. The program will reduce consumers' tailpipe emissions on all grades at the pump through certified carbon investment projects such as tree plantings, renewable energy development, and more. Unlike other alternative fuel products or programs, GreenPrint's program requires no new hardware or software, and no new tanks or equipment.

"With our Twice Daily stores being locally owned and operated, we're focused on our communities and how best to support and give back to them," said Steve Hostetter, CEO of Tri Star Energy. "It's important that we continue to support initiatives that are important to our guests and our communities and 'Thrive' with GreenPrint will help us do that."

In addition to the carbon offsets, on behalf of Tri Star Energy and its Twice Daily stores, the Thrivetm program will plant 25,000 trees in Middle Tennessee with the Arbor Day Foundation. The program has also partnered with Nashville-based GROW Enrichment, a non-profit organization focused on community development through urban agriculture and nature conservation education. The organizations will work together to plant trees and participate in volunteer and education projects in the Nashville community.
