Canada Service Corps application period for local and regional organizations has been extended until April 3, 2018
Local and regional organizations who haven't already applied are invited to do so today.
GATINEAU, QC, March 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada Service Corps program gives young Canadians the chance to get involved in meaningful service opportunities in communities across Canada while gaining valuable skills and experience that will benefit them in every aspect of life.
Today, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, announced that the application period for the Canada Service Corps open call for proposals is being extended until April 3, 2018.
The Government of Canada is looking to local and regional organizations to propose innovative ideas for projects that allow young people to grow on a personal level by building relationships, learning new skills and creating lasting impacts in the communities they serve.
Special funding is available to eligible local and regional organizations to implement projects in communities across the country. Eligible organizations must fall under one of the following categories:
not-for-profit or for-profit organizations;
research organizations and institutes;
Indigenous organizations (including band councils, tribal councils and self-government entities); and
municipal, provincial or territorial governments, agencies and Crown corporations, public health and educational institutions (i.e. universities, colleges, CÉGEPs, school boards/school districts).
