InventHelp Inventor Develops Safety Accessory for the Visually Impaired (VIG-269)
PITTSBURGH, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "I am visually impaired, and I have dealt with walking into and tripping over things," said one of two inventors from Roper, N.C. "To avoid these dangers, I devised a way to keep myself aware of my surroundings so that I could avoid obstacles and hazards and so remain safe."
They developed the INAV-IN HOME NAVIGATION DEVICE to alert the user to any obstacles ahead. The unit makes it possible to avoid walking into objects, which reduces the risk of trips and falls. It is designed to enhance personal safety by keeping the user out of danger. The accessory offers added peace of mind, especially when walking through unfamiliar areas. Additionally, the design keeps hands free to do other things.
The original design was submitted to the Virginia Beach office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
