Exclusive distribution deal for Canada signed for Duchesse De Bourgogne sour ale

MONTREAL, March 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Karl Verhaeghe, owner of Brewery Verhaeghe-Vichte is signing an exclusive distribution agreement for Canada with Guy McClelland "The Beer Knight", of McClelland Premium Imports.

Duchesse De Bourgogne is a very special lambic sour ale with a fruity sour character and fresh aftertaste.

The ale is aged in oak casks and brewed according to an ancient method, geographically linked with the province of West French Flanders.

"A wonderful opportunity to bring beautiful authentic Belgian beer styles to the province of Quebec where there is a very strong affinity for European and, in particularly, Belgian beer. We are very proud and excited to be able to bring Canadians the World's Best red Flemish sour ale. In these days of craft beer experimentation, it's important for Canadians to have access to authentic original beers that define these important styles," said Mr. McClelland.

The official signing ceremony will take place 11:15am March 16, 2018 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal.

Signing of the new agreement will be witnessed by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium who are visiting Canada on an official Royal Trade Mission, including a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Governor General.
