EY Canada announces new Global Centre of Excellence in Halifax

New Centre a hub for robotic process automation service and innovation

HALIFAX, March 13, 2018 /CNW/ - EY Canada has launched the first Canada-based EY Global Centre of Excellence for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Service in Halifax. The Centre will offer world-class customizable digital services to companies across the country.

Halifax joins a growing list of EY Global Centres of Excellence around the world with unique focuses ranging from cybersecurity and analytics to manufacturing services. Leveraging RPA technology presents an opportunity to businesses of all sizes across all sectors. Introducing automation to back office functions in particular can accelerate business performance.

The city was chosen based on a long list of attributes, including access to a well-educated and diverse workforce, transportation links to North America and the relatively affordable cost of living.

The Centre will employ data scientists, application developers, system architects, project managers and business analysts from a variety of sources, including leading local schools.

The Centre is located at the EY Halifax office at RBC Waterside Centre, 1871 Hollis St. It will nearly double the current EY footprint in Halifax.
