Healthy Paws Foundation Funds Pawsitive Alliance For Second Year In A Row

SEATTLE, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Healthy Paws Foundation proudly announces their support of Pawsitive Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness in Washington state. For the second consecutive year, the Healthy Paws Foundation is providing funds for the organization's #WhyNotMePets campaign with a $25,000 grant. The Healthy Paws Foundation is funded by Healthy Paws Pet Insurance: with every free pet insurance quote, Healthy Paws donates to the foundation to help animal welfare organizations in need.

Healthy Paws funds Pawsitive Alliance for the second year in a row.

The #WhyNotMePets program focuses on homeless pets that face obstacles with getting adopted. Whether they are senior, long-term shelter residents or one of the harder-to-home "restricted" breeds, these animals need extra help in finding their forever home. Healthy Paws collaborated with Pawsitive Alliance throughout 2017, contributing to adoption efforts with weekly articles on their blog and targeted social media posts. The plan is to continue with this collaboration in 2018.

"The Healthy Paws grant for our #WhyNotMePets program ensures that we can help pets find their forever home through Washington state rescues and shelters that request our help," explains Amy Ferguson, Executive Director of Pawsitive Alliance. "In 2017, we helped over 78 pets through the program, and we're looking forward to helping even more in 2018. #WhyNotMePets is made possible thanks to the grant from Healthy Paws."

"This program has had such a positive impact on pet homelessness in Washington state, we wanted to continue our friendship and support," says Healthy Paws Foundation co-founder Rob Jackson. "Helping Pawsitive Alliance on their journey coincides directly with our mission to end pet homelessness. We want to help as many pets as we can."
