PITTSBURGH, March 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "My mother has limited mobility, which makes it difficult for her to garden," said an inventor from Swansea, S.C. "In order to help her be able to do what she loves, I came up with a pair of garden shears that enable her to cut and trim plants without having to bend or kneel."

He developed the GARDEN GATOR to offer an efficient way to cut and trim plants. The accessory saves the user from having to bend over or kneel down in order to reach plants. This reduces physical stress and strain. The tool makes gardening easier and more enjoyable. The design also safeguards the user against slips and falls. Additionally, it is ideal for use by individuals with limited mobility.

The original design was submitted to the Columbia office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
