'Bio-One Backs the Blue' Initiative To Award Injured Officers With Franchise Rights

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Bio-One, the successful crime and trauma scene clean-up franchise founded by Nick-Anthony Zamucen, recognizes the hard work of police officers in communities across the country. In order to further acknowledge officers for their service, Bio-One is launching an exciting campaign called "Bio-One Backs the Blue." The initiative will award four franchises to former or current police officers whose duties have been greatly reduced due to injury on the job.

American police officers enforce law and order, tirelessly advocating for safety and peace while serving and protecting their communities. Their job is not an easy one ? on good days it is a joy, on rough ones it is thankless. At its worst it can be incredibly dangerous, requiring lives on the line at a moment's notice.

Many men and women in blue are injured in the line of duty, and these courageous individuals should be recognized for their sacrifice, especially if said injuries hinder their career or bring them to an untimely halt. According to the latest data from the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, there were "51,548 assaults against law enforcement officers in 2015, resulting in 14,453 injuries."

Through Bio-One's campaign, select officers will get a fresh start in a new industry that requires similar grit, wisdom, and compassion. Bio-One associates, not unlike those in law enforcement, have the opportunity to help people in their greatest time of need and make a difference where it counts.

The benefits are clear: Entrepreneur Magazine named Bio-One as one of the 100 Best Franchises in the nation for 2017. A rewarding career in a recession-proof industry, Bio-One franchises thrive with the guidance and ongoing support from their corporate team.

Eligible candidates should either be former police officers or current officers who, as a result of injury, are no longer able to perform their duties as police officers in a traditional sense. Individuals may be submitted for consideration on BioOneBacksTheBlue.com, and will be chosen based on the substance and sentiment of their stories.

The first winner will be chosen and announced during Police Week, May 13th-19th 2018. The next will be announced during or around September of 2018.
