Bridgepoint Education Proudly Sponsors Finish Chelsea's Run 5K Run/Walk for 8th Consecutive Year
SAN DIEGO, March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In alignment with its mission to make higher education more accessible, Bridgepoint Education (NYSE: BPI) was a Platinum Sponsor of the 8th annual Finish Chelsea's Run 5K Run/Walk that took place on Saturday, March 3. Bridgepoint employees came together in Balboa Park on Saturday to participate in the event and help raise money for the Chelsea's Light Foundation Sunflower Scholarship Fund.
The competitive race and fun run/walk honors the memory of Chelsea King, whose young life was cut short in 2010 while on a run in Rancho Bernardo Community Park. The event raises funds for the Chelsea's Light Foundation Sunflower Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for San Diego County college-bound teens who exemplify Chelsea's academic prowess and "service over self" ethic.
Bridgepoint has been a sponsor every year since the event's inception. In addition to the competitive race and fun run/walk, the event features entertainment, children's activities, and a family festival.
