From India to the United States: Local Entrepreneur Proves that Instilling a Love for Learning Extends Beyond Borders

CARMEL, Ind., March 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Naazesh Mirza volunteered teaching math and English in schools in India for seven years. Upon moving to the United States in 2016, she knew she wanted to continue working with children and started researching various franchise opportunities. Her sister-in-law, who is a Kumon Instructor in India, told her to look into the franchise. Two years later and Mirza is the owner and instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Carmel-North.

"I'm fortunate for the opportunity to continue my passion for helping to develop strong, confident individuals," said Mirza, owner and instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Carmel-North. "I love the discipline that the Kumon Program instills in children. I look forward to providing the highest quality of education, while helping the children become confident, self-starters."

The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.

There are 20 Kumon Math and Reading Centers in the state of Indiana, including 10 in Greater Indianapolis. Kumon Math and Reading of Carmel-North is part of Kumon's 2018 expansion plan of welcoming 100 new franchisees nationwide.

Kumon sparks critical thinking, establishes a pattern of success and builds confidence that can lead to accelerated learning throughout life. Learn more about the Kumon franchise opportunity today.
