Comedians Raise Campaign Funds For Chicago Judicial Candidate
CHICAGO, Feb. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Citizens to Elect Shay Tyrone Allen will host "Comedy Friendraiser," a political fundraiser featuring comedians Just Nesh and Leon Rodgers at 7p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Room 43, 1043 East 43rd St., in support of criminal defense attorney Shay Tyrone Allen's bid for a seat on the Cook County 5th Sub-Circuit Court. The election is March 20.

Allen, an experienced lawyer and new face in Chicago politics, is a former Cook County prosecutor. The fourth-generation Chicagoan is running for judge to bring fairness and justice to the Court for all people.
Just Nesh, the stage moniker for Chicago-based comedian Taneshia Rice, has made appearances on Comedy Central with Kevin Hart, HBO and BET. Standup comic Leon Rodgers, also a Chicago native, has appeared at comedy festivals across the country.
