Assisi Animal Health Introduces the Clinical Use Guide for Veterinary Professionals

PINEHURST, N.C., Feb. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Assisi Animal Health, developer of the Assisi Loop®, an FDA cleared non-pharmaceutical anti-inflammatory device (NPAID®) and targeted pulsed electromagnetic field therapy for animals, today released their Clinical Use Guide for veterinary professionals. The Assisi Loop Clinical Use Guide was developed by a team of experienced veterinary clinicians including Dr. Laurie McCauley, DVM, DACVSMR, CCRT, CVA, CVC, Dr. Deirdre Chiaramonte, DVM, ACVIM, CCRT, CVA, CERP and Dr. Judy Korman, VMD, MBA.

Assisi's Clinical Use Guide will serve as a platform for discovering the Loop's many applications. It is recommended that veterinary professionals, including licensed DVM/VMDs, chiropractors and physical therapists who are licensed to work with animals, and veterinary acupuncturists, use the Assisi Clinical Use Guide for convenient access to 40 treatment protocols and clinical applications that treat almost 300 feline and canine diagnoses and clinical applications. The Guide will be available to licensed veterinary professionals only, and will appear on the Assisi website, the Google Play store, and in the App Store.

Dr. Deirdre Chiaramonte notes the value of the Guide for developing effective treatment planning for inflammatory conditions, "One common problem I see with GP's is that they purchase a laser or Loop and put it on a shelf, never to use it or don't use it enough. The Clinical Use Guide reminds practitioners the many ways this modality can be used."

As shown in the Clinical Use Guide, the Loop offers the following benefits: increased blood flow, increased oxygenation of blood, reduced pain and inflammation, stimulation of tissue healing, and promotion of wound healing. In order to determine the ideal protocol, Assisi offers easy-to-use search functions within the Guide to find the best application for any patient.

The Assisi Loop® offers all animals a safe inflammation and pain management technology that can be used solely, or in conjunction with a multi-modal treatment plan already set in place. Available only through veterinary professionals, the Assisi Loop® is prescribed by veterinarians to treat orthopedic injuries, degenerative neurological issues, post-surgical pain and swelling, inflammatory conditions, and wounds.
