Bob Holz and A Vision Forward prepare for World Tour


LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaimed jazz fusion composer and drummer Bob Holz will release a new album on February 23rd, 2018 and embark on a world tour with his band, Bob Holz and A Vision Forward. Holz is signed to MVD Audio who is releasing his third album entitled Visions: Coast To Coast Connection. Featured artists on the new album are bassist Stanley Clarke and trumpeter Randy Brecker. The touring band consists of Bob Holz on drums (Larry Coryell Band), Ralphe Armstrong on bass (Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank Zappa), Jamie Glaser on guitar (Chick Corea, Jean Luc Ponty, Bryan Adams, Manhattan Transfer) and Billy Steinway on keyboards (Stevie Wonder, Annie Lennox, Jazz Crusaders, Larry Carlton). The band comes off a busy schedule which included a headline performance at the Northeast Jazz and Wine Festival in New York, a feature release concert at the famed Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, California and numerous shows throughout the United States. The new album has been cited in Jazziz Magazine proclaiming Holz as one of the top jazz fusion drummers and composers on the scene today. Additionally the album is receiving positive reviews in Downbeat Magazine, Bass Player Magazine, Jazztimes and Smooth Jazz Magazine. The new album has also been nominated for a SAMMY award in New York. Holz has also issued a new tribute video to the late jazz guitar great Larry Coryell and the late jazz fusion drum legend Alphonse Mouzon on YouTube which features a tribute tune off the new album. Holz collaborated with Larry Coryell for three years recording two albums together and playing numerous concerts both as a leader and a side man in Coryell's band. Bob is signed to a recording contract with MVD Audio a division of MVD Entertainment Group. Holz is managed by former Mike Stern personal manager Roy Holland of Roy Holland Productions in New York City. Holz endorses Canopus drums and Paiste cymbals. Bob's two most recent albums were produced by Rob Stathis and recorded by famed Los Angeles multi Grammy and platinum release sound engineer Dennis Moody.
