Magellan Rolls Out iOS Version of the Lowest Cost ELD Solution on The Market

SAN DIMAS, Calif., Feb. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Magellan®, a leader in GPS navigation solutions, today announced they have released the iOS version of their low-cost, easy to use Electronic Logging Device (ELD) solution for owner-operators.

Priced at just $10 per month, independent owner-operators with both iOS and Android phones will be able to access Magellan's simplified, FMCSA-compliant ELD device. Installation takes just five minutes to be up, running, and in compliance.

"This is just an example of how we're continuously working to make each product better for owner operators in need of an ELD solution. Our research shows a large portion of owner-operators use iOS mobile devices," said Mark Perini, vice president of Fleet Business for Magellan. "It is important to us that we give all drivers, using both iOS and Android devices, access to the lowest cost ELD solution on the market today."

With Magellan's ELD solution, drivers are able to easily share their HOS logs with law enforcement straight from their mobile device. An HOS management web portal allows for efficient HOS and DVIR reports, while on-device data transfer and co-driver support makes roadside inspections run more smoothly and efficiently. For the owner operators who run interstate operations, IFTA version are also available at an additional $30 one-time cost.

Magellan is a pioneer of GPS and navigation, launching the first hand-held GPS device in North America in 1986, and since has become one of the most trusted brands in the industry. Magellan's ELD HOS and navigation solutions for the fleet industry are designed and tested by industry veterans, continuing a tradition of trust with rigorous in-vehicle testing in many truck models.

Independent drivers and owner-operators can buy the affordably-priced ELD option directly from Magellan or though Amazon.
