Possible Medical Side Effects Associated with Invokana:

The US Drug Watchdog says, "Our biggest worry about people who suffered a severe side effect from a recalled drugs or a potentially dangerous  pharmaceutical product is it is extremely difficult to identify actual victims. Diabetics are frequently told that diabetes could cause loss of feet or legs by medical doctors. Will a diabetic who was using the type two diabetes drug Invokana who had to suffer through a below the knee amputation instantly think-it was a drug that caused this-probably not.

"We are urging the family or a friend of a diabetic who was using the type two diabetes drug Invokana and who suffered a below the knee amputation to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 so we can help get them to some of the nation's top lawyers for free legal consultation. Because it is so difficult to get the word out about potentially dangerous drugs for diabetics, the US Drug Watchdog is urging people with diabetes or their family members to post this press release on their Facebook page or social media." http://USDrugWatchdog.Com

In May 2017 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued what's called a black box warning about Invokana and amputations. In the warning the FDA urged patients taking canagliflozin, sold under the brand name Invokana, Invokamet and Invokamet XR, to contact their doctors "right away" if they notice pain or tenderness, sores, ulcers or infections in their legs or feet.  https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/883782.
