Victoria Beckham Chooses FOREO Giving NYFW Models Revolutionary 90-Second UFO Face Mask Treatment

STOCKHOLM, Feb. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's most anticipated facial device, the FOREO UFO (Ur Future Obsession) made its New York Fashion Week debut yesterday, partnering with design powerhouse Victoria Beckham for her Autumn Winter 2018 New York Fashion Week Show at the elite James A. Burden Mansion located on New York's Upper East Side.

Following a global launch last month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, this debut was the first time ever the UFO prototype has been used publicly.

As the exclusive skincare partner of the Autumn / Winter 2018 runway show, all models backstage were primed and prepped for the catwalk using the UFO device - the world's first smart mask, each receiving a full spa-level  facial treatment in just 90 seconds. FOREO was at the ready, welcoming models as they arrived and delivered each of them the 90 second facials backstage at the dedicated FOREO beauty station. Feeling fresh faced and ready to rock the runway afterwards, models took to the UFO treatment saying 'I love this!'.

The new UFO device combines LED light therapy with cryo-therapy, thermo-therapy and T-Sonic pulsations and perfectly activates the UFO-invented 'Make My Day' sheet mask acting as a conductor. The UFO Make My Day treatment begins with 30 seconds of Thermo-Therapy and red LED light to prep the skin and open the pores. The device over the next 30 seconds integrates T-Sonic pulsations into the treatment to heighten the absorption of the mask essence. The final 30 seconds switch to a green LED treatment and lower frequency pulsations, to even skin tone and add that radiant boost. The full treatment ensured each runway ready model had a flawless finish.

After the treatment, models were passed along to hair and make-up where legendary artiste, Pat McGrath created stunning looks, preferring to showcase the model's natural beauty with fresh faced and dewy skin - the look du jour.

"There really is no other device in the world that can prep a troupe of models before one of the most highly anticipated runway shows in the whole of New York Fashion Week. Conventional face masks take up to 20 minutes to have an, and there's no time for that!" says Paul Peros, CEO of FOREO.

"What better way to bring our UFO to the market than to partner with the Victoria Beckham team at their New York Fashion Week Show and prep the models before hair and make-up so they are confident, fresh faced and beautiful. Glowing skin is key to any ensemble, even if it is a Victoria Beckham design," adds Peros.

Team Beckham were also fans of the UFO on the day, posting the UFO as part of the backstage stories to the official @victoriabeckham and tagging FOREO.

The UFO has all the benefits expected with a FOREO invention including a medical grade silicone body, plus a 100% waterproof design and USB-charging.

Set to retail at 279 USD and will be shipping globally in the second week of April, 2018. To make like a VB model, UFOs are now available for pre-order at www.foreo.com/ufo
