25th Annual Rampathon®: Now Accepting Free Mobility Ramp Applications for Families Struggling with Mobility

BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS), through its Rampathon program, is now accepting applications for free wheelchair access ramps for families struggling with mobility within their home and from nonprofit organizations whose clients or residents struggle with mobility. We are looking to make our 25th year the biggest Rampathon event EVER!

What:

For 25 years, MBAKS members and community volunteers head to home sites throughout King and Snohomish counties to build ramps during the month of May, for free, because our neighbors in need deserve the same freedoms we have.

MBAKS is proud to help anyone become more mobile and independent, including local veterans, children in need, and elderly community members. Applications to be considered for a free wheelchair ramp are available in January and February of each year.

Story:

Let us know if you'd like to visit a home where a ramp was built that changed the life of a child, adult or senior, and we will make it happen!

Why:

Rampathon is about helping people and families with mobility issues. Our and our members' goal is to positively change lives. Although Rampathon doesn't occur until May, we are accepting applications from families and organizations in King and Snohomish counties through March 1. We want to get the word out and help more families who are struggling with mobility.

NOTE TO REPORTERS: We have tons of stories on veterans, senior citizens, children and the LiHi homeless tiny homes community?all of which have received free ramps. If you're looking for a certain story, we can find it.
