RCMP Academy hosts a youth leadership workshop
OTTAWA, Feb. 7, 2018 /CNW/ - This week, 15 teens selected from across Canada will have an opportunity at Depot, the RCMP's training academy in Regina, to learn how to make their communities safer.
The RCMP is hosting a Youth Leadership Workshop from February 7 to 10, 2018, for 15 grades 9 to 12 students, each accompanied by an RCMP employee from their community. Each day consists of educational workshops on topics such as bullying, road safety, healthy relationships and substance misuse. Based on the content of the workshop, participants will develop an action plan to combat a youth crime or victimization issue which they identify. Upon completion of the workshop, the youth will return to their communities to implement the action plan with support from the RCMP.
