The UPS Store® Helps Fuel Cancer Research, $5 At A Time

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The UPS Store® locations in Utah from Logan to St. George have partnered with cancer-fighting nonprofit, 5 For The Fight, and Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio, to raise $100,000 for local cancer research. 5 For The Fight, which encourages everyone to give $5 to the fight against cancer was launched by Qualtrics in 2016.

"We're inviting everyone, everywhere to give $5 to fight against cancer," said Lori Kun, head of social impact at Qualtrics. "The UPS Stores in Utah are making it easy by letting you add $5 or any amount to your purchase in honor of someone you love who has fought or is fighting cancer. You can even add their name and send it along with your care package with a special sticker you pick up in store letting them know you donated to cancer research in their honor."

Customers can help The UPS Store reach their $100,000 goal by making a donation at any of the participating locations of The UPS Store in Utah before March 31, 2018. One hundred percent of the funds donated will go to 5 For The Fight. This partnership features Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio, who recently invested $20,000 in cancer research in honor of his mom, who passed away from lung cancer.

"Cancer ends with a show of hands, which is why the local franchise owners of each of The UPS Store locations in Utah are raising their hands by joining with 5 For The Fight," Tyler Gray, director of sales and operations for The UPS Store® locations of Utah said. "Cancer has touched many of our employees and customers, so our owners are working to raise funds at each location and will also donate per store. I am proud to work with such amazing people that truly want to make a difference."
