Bell Media Celebrates the Life of Canadian TV Icon Jay Switzer

TORONTO, Jan. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - Bell Media extends condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of respected media leader Jay Switzer, who passed away today in Toronto.

Jay was a generous and kind-hearted visionary who passionately loved Canadian television. Following in his mother Phyllis' footsteps at Citytv, Jay went on to help launch an array of successful CHUM specialty channels, including Much, Bravo, CP24, FashionTelevision, and Space, in which his legacy lives on. He was a mentor to many, and a friend to many more.

Bell Media looks forward to celebrating Jay's amazing life and career as he is posthumously awarded the Academy Board of Director's Tribute at the Canadian Screen Awards this March.
