TRIEC Mentoring Partnership connects newcomers to Toronto with a mentor who shares their professional background. The newcomer "mentees" gain inside knowledge of how the job market works in the region, as well as the opportunity to make invaluable professional connections. Their mentors, meanwhile, learn about being leaders in today's increasingly diverse workplace.

Over 15,000 immigrants have participated in the program since 2004, with 75 per cent finding work in their professional fields within 12 months.

This year, for the first time, TRIEC will be launching a new award category ? for participants who have mentored 20 times or more.
