Get Heart Healthy with a Pet
Carol Novello
President
Mutual Rescue
"New studies show that those with dogs have a reduced risk for cardiovascular disease and death. Risk of death for people in multi-person households with dogs fell by 11% and chances of cardiovascular death fell by 15%. For singles, risk of death fell by 33% and risk of cardiovascular death fell by 36%. The study suggests that increases in immunity, social interaction and exercise that go along with having a dog may be at the heart of these findings."
Novello is the founder of Mutual Rescue, a national initiative that highlights the life-changing power of human-animal relationships. The initiative's first short film, "Eric & Peety," went viral around the world with almost 100 million views, prompting an influx of submissions to be considered for inclusion in the ongoing Mutual Rescue film series. A former senior software executive at Intuit, Novello earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and is proud to include three rescue animals in her family: a German Shepherd dog named Tess and two cats, Langley and Bodie.

Michelle Gale
Author, Mindfulness Educator
"Working parents, as a community, are often the absolute worst at finding time to take care of ourselves. It's also one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children."
Gale is a mindfulness educator, corporate trainer, executive coach, podcast host and author of the book "Mindful Parenting in a Messy World." She is on a mission to support parents in staying meaningfully connected to themselves and their families, even as the demands and complexity of contemporary life and work are accelerated. She works in schools, communities, and corporations teaching mindfulness and speaking to parents. Gale was previously the head of learning and leadership development at Twitter and spent most of her career working in high growth technology startups. In addition to her board work with the Holistic Life Foundation, she is currently an advisor to the Mindful Schools, Wisdom 2.0 and Tilt365. The Mental Health Benefits of Laughter
Dr. John Huber
Chairman
Mainstream Mental Health
We've all probably heard the saying 'laughter is the best medicine' and the Irish proverb 'a good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.' Dr. Huber is available for interviews to share his on how laughing makes us healthy: "Laughing makes us healthy by: 1) Boosting brain power, increasing memory and learning. In a study at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, humor during instruction led to increased test scores. 2) Reducing stress: Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after. 3) Prolonging life: Laughing may help you live longer. It protects the heart, improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems. A study in Norway found that people with a strong sense of humor outlived those who don't laugh as much. This was especially significant with cancer patients. 4) Boosting psychical health: It increases vascular blood flow and oxygenation of the blood, and helps lower blood pressure. Studies have shown that repetitious 'mirthful laughter' causes the body to respond in a way similar to moderate physical exercise. Laughter enhances your mood, decreases stress hormones, enhances immune activity, lowers bad cholesterol and systolic blood pressure, and raises good cholesterol (HDL). 5) Strengthening the immune system: It increases the ability of your immune system by increasing the response of tumor- and disease-killing cells such as Gamma-interferon and T-cells. 6) Reducing frequency of colds: Some research has even shown that laughter defends against respiratory infections-even reducing the frequency of colds-by immunoglobulin in saliva. 7) Increasing joy: Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain."
Based in Texas, Dr. Huber is the chairman of Mainstream Mental Health, a nonprofit organization that brings lasting and positive change to the lives of individuals that suffer from mental health issues. A mental health professional for more than 20 years, Dr. Huber is a clinical forensic psychologist, and he is a practitioner with privileges at two long-term acute care hospitals.

Celebrate Creative Romance Month with Out-of-Body Sex
Ilona Selke

Over 30+ years, Selke has inspired thousands of people worldwide to discover the power of their consciousness and create a successful life. Should Celebrities and CEOs Tout Their Political Viewpoints?
Ryan McCormick
Co-founder
Goldman McCormick Public Relations
McCormick, a reputation management specialist, is available for interviews on whether celebrities and CEOs should tout their political viewpoints: "Unless your targeted audience or customer based is endeared to particular set of political vales, there's no reason ever to publicly tout your political perspectives. In the short term, you may experience a feel-good ego trip as one or more individuals praise you for expressing values similar to theirs. However, in the long term, you stand to permanently lose business and fans. Whether you're an actor or business owner, your number one goal should be to provide excellent service and value to your fans/customers. Unnecessarily evoking a negative emotional reaction from people by pushing your political values may drive them into the arms of a competitor, even if you are the superior service provider. There are some effective ways for celebrities and CEOs to make a substantial impact towards the political causes they believe in without tweeting up a storm. The first step is to maximize your prestige and power by providing excellent service to as many people as possible. Appealing to all should have a positive impact on your bottom line, which will allow you to write bigger checks to individuals, political parties, and causes you support. We recommend doing this quietly. The second step is to simply carry yourself with kindness, honor, and integrity. If you have political passions and you're not pushing them on others, you might be surprised at how many more people may give your ideals a second look because of how you conduct yourself. The bottom line is that celebrities and businesses are better off not publicly touting their political perspectives. Sharing them among close-knit family, friends, and likeminded associates is a much better and more appropriate platform."
