Lollicup® USA, Inc. Is Poised to Become the Leaders in Eco-friendly Disposables

CHINO, Calif., Jan. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Lollicup® USA, Inc. is poised to become leaders in eco-friendly disposables. This comes at a time when cities across the nation are banning plastic products from plastic bags and expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) to plastic straws and utensils. These bans directly affect the foodservice industry.

Lollicup offers a variety of products as alternatives in their Karat Earthtm brand. One alternative is PLA plastic products such as: cold cups, lids, straws, and utensils. PLA is a non-petroleum based, compostable plastic made from sugar fibers left over from the sugar extraction process. Bagasse is also made from sugar fibers, and Lollicup offers a line of containers and dinnerware. In addition, Lollicup offers eco-friendly, compostable paper products from hot cups and cold cups to deli containers and hinged containers.

"We plan to become leaders in eco-friendly disposables. As part of this initiative, we will continue to add to our line," said CEO and founder Alan Yu.

Some of the products customers will see in the future will be eco-friendly and compostable paper and plastic takeout boxes, paper straws, and PLA straws, just to name a few. These items will serve as substitutes for Styrofoam and other banned plastic items.

In order to expand their line, the company will open a new manufacturing facility in Rockwall, TX later this year. They will also open a new shipping fulfillment center in New Jersey, connecting the tri-state. Both of these facilities will allow for faster deliveries and better customer service.

Yu said, "For five years in a row we have been one of the fastest growing privately held companies.  We will continue this trend, as we plan to reach $180 million in revenues. Our goal is to be the foodservice 'one-stop shop' and leaders in the market with eco-friendly products."
