HVM places 10 veterinary hyperbaric chambers in new locations, including LSU, BluePearl, and Canada

BOCA RATON, Fla., Jan. 25, 2018 /CNW/ -- Hyperbaric Veterinary Medicine (HVM) announces 10 new locations that will offer HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) via its patented, veterinary-specific hyperbaric chamber.

LSU becomes the third school of veterinary medicine to install an HVM chamber and offer HBOT as a treatment option, along with the University of Florida and Auburn University. HVM is very proud to partner with such highly revered universities, advancing the goal that someday HBOT will become a standard modality offered in all veterinary programs.

In Kentucky, the first BluePearl hospital has committed to placing an HVM chamber in Louisville.  With over 50 BluePearl veterinary hospitals nationwide, HVM is very excited for the opportunity to enable the Louisville facility to offer a revolutionary form of treatment to its patients.

HVM is also helping animals receive HBOT internationally by equipping the first veterinary facilities in Canada at VCA Alta Vista in Ottawa, and in New Zealand at North Shore Veterinary Emergency in Auckland. With a staff of 160, VCA Alta Vista functions just like a human hospital, and now it will be able to offer HBOT to patients just like most of its human counterparts.

Additional chamber placements domestically include Aurora Animal Hospital in Terrytown, LA, Hometown Veterinary Hospital in Springfield, MO, R.E.A.C.H in Asheville, NC, and future placements in Florida at Southeastern Guide Dogs and Martin Animal Clinic. HVM understands the importance of continuing to seek out partnerships with veterinary hospitals and clinics of all sizes and specialties in order to extend the avenues available to pet owners looking to get their loved ones treated.

Finally, in an unprecedented endeavor, HVM has placed a chamber at a brand new, stand-alone veterinary hyperbaric treatment center called HypOPets in Naples, FL. This center is the first of its kind, offering any surrounding veterinary facility the ability to refer their patients for HBOT treatments without ever having to install a chamber.

HVM will be attending the VMX Expo in Orlando, FL, Feb 3-7, to unveil its most advanced chamber yet, the H1, and to further the discussion with veterinarians on how HBOT can drastically improve their patients' outcomes and literally save the lives of some pets that have run out of options.

A complete list of all current and future locations of HVM chamber-equipped facilities can be found at www.hvmed.com.
