TORONTO, Jan. 19, 2018 /CNW/ - Released today for Super Bowl LII, Budweiser is changing how Canadians can celebrate our biggest goals, by turning the iconic Red Light and Goal-Synced Glass gold in all-new 30-second TV spot called "Bring it Home".

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Budweiser's Red Light, which has celebrated thousands of goals since its inception. As a staple for hockey fans that has made a home in many entertainment rooms, dens, garages and offices, the over 1.5 million Budweiser Red Light and Glasses continue to shine in homes across Canada.

To celebrate, Budweiser and Canada's leading goal scorer, Wayne Gretzky are making game-time goal celebrations even bigger with limited-edition Wayne Gretzky Gold-Synced Lights, marked with his legendary number, 99, and replica signature accompanied by certificate of authenticity.

"Goals are the most exciting part of any hockey game, and as someone who has played hockey at all levels of the game, including the international stage, there's no better feeling than having the country celebrate those moments with you," said Wayne Gretzky, Canadian Hockey Legend. "I'm excited to light these limited-edition lamps to celebrate our country's biggest goals. Let's bring it home!"

As a tribute to all hockey fans, Budweiser also debuted "Bring it Home" with The Great One alongside hockey greats Paul Henderson, Tessa Bonhomme, Dale Hawerchuck and Geraldine Heaney, with Gold-Synced Light in hand.

"The success of the Budweiser Red Light inspired us to make something special this year for the fans, and what better way to bring that to life than with The Great One himself," said Todd Allen, vice president of marketing, Labatt Breweries of Canada. "Over the years, we've celebrated goals from coast to coast, and we're excited to now put these gold lights and glasses in the hands of Canadian fans and let it shine."
