Craft Club Completes Third Successful Year, Announces Craft Club Connect
SOMERVILLE, Mass., and BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Craft Club, a non-profit arts organization founded in 2015 to provide after-school classes, summer-sessions, and other programs promoting and developing students' artistic and creative skills, announced completion of its third year serving students in the Boston area. Beginning at the TechBoston Academy in Dorchester and expanding to the Mystic Learning Center in Somerville, Craft Club has served thousands of classes to hundreds of students.

"The grant from Somerville Arts Council has assisted in Craft Club's expansion this year to a second location. With help from their generous support, we have brought our program to Somerville."

Craft Club has pioneered the development and delivery of high-quality, entertaining, and accessible craft programs, financed by Craft Club, providing students access to explore and expand their own creativity. The program is supported in part by a grant from the Somerville Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
In 2018, Craft Club will further expand by launching Craft Club Connect, an ambitious plan to bring its programs online. The initiative will enable educators to access and download arts and crafts programs, lesson plans, and resource manuals to enable delivery of the Craft Club curriculum, in full or in part, to their students, clubs or organizations. "The Internet enables us to rapidly scale and amplify our reach," said Cris Jaffe, co-founder and Director of Programming. "We are investing resources to produce a series of online modules that give teachers and educators even more options to bring arts and crafts programming into the lives of their students."
