Grantham University receives top rankings by three prominent military lists

LENEXA, Kan., Jan. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Grantham University has a proud tradition of serving military-related students which comprise about half of the university's enrollment. For yet another year, Grantham, a 100 percent online university, has been recognized for its service to the military community by three prominent publications:

About half of Grantham students are associated with the military.

Alumnus and returning student W. Myles Bjork, retired Army Warrant Officer from Mobile, Ala., agrees that Grantham is a natural fit for active military and veteran students.  "Based on my busy military schedule, an online degree program was a necessity. I prefer the flexibility of the curriculum. It works best with my mentality and work ethic.  Even when deployed, I was able to continue moving forward with my degree. This made me even more committed to a Grantham education."

The university offers several initiatives designed to make obtaining a degree easier for military-related students. The institution provides resources to teach military-minded students in order to improve the learning experience. The career services team is equipped to help military personnel apply their education in the service or transition into a civilian career. Grantham is a thought leader in veteran employment with programs like Hiring Veterans is Good Business. Faculty and staff also understand the demanding nature of service and have designed its courses, degrees and policies to assist military-related students in completing their course of study.

"As an institution with a proud history of serving those who serve, we are excited to be recognized as a top university in these military publications," said Scott Andrews, president and CEO of Grantham University. "We embrace these students and are committed to providing education opportunities that meet their goals and fit their demanding life styles."

As part of that commitment, Grantham awards a number of scholarships for military members, veterans and their families, in addition to textbook and software grant programs. Recognized for its high value and low tuition, Grantham also has a dedicated team versed in navigating military and veteran education benefits.
