BBVA Compass offers fourth Bama-branded Visa® debit card to celebrate the Crimson Tide's newest championship

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In what is becoming a frequent tradition, BBVA Compass announced today it will offer an updated Bama-branded Visa^® debit card next month, giving University of Alabama's football fans another way to display their Crimson Tide colors after the team's 17th national championship win on Monday.

BBVA Compass also offered similar debit cards after the school's championship victories in 2012, 2013 and 2016. The card will feature an exclusive image of the iconic crimson and white football helmet inscribed with the number 17 for new and current checking account customers.

Alabama's championship victory over Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship in Atlanta, Ga., on Monday marked the fifth national title for Alabama head coach Nick Saban, and his sixth overall.

Customers receive one free personalized check card with their BBVA Compass ClearChoice Free Checking account and BBVA Compass ClearChoice Premium Checking account. All other checking account customers, and customers who currently have a personalized card, may obtain the Bama-branded Visa^® card for a $10 fee.

The card is among a suite of Bama-branded products in the bank's Bama^® Banking program.
