TechMIS is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with trademarked, proven processes to take programs from conception to planning and through execution, building on the lessons of previous efforts to ensure continuous learning and program improvement.  Our process is in already in use at the Department of Veterans Affairs and also at the Departments of Defense, Labor, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Homeland Security.

We start by analyzing program goals to inform schedules, identify risks, shape budgets and enable agile response to changes in the program or the environment.  We call this process Start Better, Get Better, Stay Better® which includes upfront analysis of requirements and goals including analysis of similar, recent VA and industry programs to gather Lessons Learned and Best Practices; Forecasting performance, schedule, risks, budget, based on that up-front analysis and the program goals; Identification and inclusion of internal and external stakeholders; Continuous Assessment by means of relevant Measures of Performance and Effectiveness; Continuous Monitoring with non-obtrusive monitoring techniques including automated data collection, surrogate indicator tracking, economic and social assessments as well as with face-to-face and remote surveys; Continuous Learning; and the Capture and Sharing of Lessons Learned.

We developed the Start Better, Get Better, Stay Better® process to improve program and project management in Department of Veterans Affairs and some of the most critical Department of Defense organizations: the Joint Staff, Special Operations Command and the US Marine Corps. We have also applied it to the Departments of Labor, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Homeland Security.

"As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business we are excited to expand our support to the Department of Veterans Affairs through the VECTOR contract." said Dr. Steven Mains, Chief Executive Officer of TechMIS.  "We are confident our trademarked tools and procedures, along with our rigorous, common-sense approach to tackling tough problems, will continue to provide high value to the VA as they support Veterans and their families."
