ASC suspends registration of Privest Wealth Management

CALGARY, Dec. 20, 2017 /CNW/ - The Alberta Securities Commission has suspended the registration of Privest Wealth Management Inc., pending the surrender of the registration of the firm.

Privest acknowledged and agreed to the suspension, after it became apparent they were unable to address regulatory concerns.

The ASC is the regulatory agency responsible for administering the province's securities laws. It is entrusted with fostering a fair and efficient capital market in Alberta and with protecting investors. As a member of the Canadian Securities Administrators, the ASC works to improve, coordinate and harmonize the regulation of Canada's capital markets.
