Cargair and Max Aviation Join Air Georgian's SOAR Program


MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 19, 2017 /CNW/ - Air Georgian's SOAR program for aviation career awareness, recruitment and retention continues to grow with the addition of Cargair and Max Aviation to their recruitment program. The partnership provides a career pathway for instructors at Cargair and captains at Max Aviation to become First Officers with Air Georgian with an entry into the Air Canada network.

"The career pathway offered by this exclusive partnership to our graduates, instructors and captains, allows them to gain flying experience and provides outstanding career opportunities," says Josée Prud'homme, President of Cargair and Max Aviation, "In return, this allows Cargair, Max Aviation and Air Georgian to work with highly qualified pilots."

About the SOAR Program
SOAR (Sharing Opportunities for Advancement and Reward) is comprised of three initiatives:

Air Canada's Pilot Mobility Agreement
All Air Georgian pilots are guaranteed an interview with Air Canada through the PMA. Once Air Georgian pilots meet minimum criteria, they are eligible to add their name to the Pilot Mobility List (PML) which guarantees them an interview with Air Canada. Air Canada has committed to hire 80% of their pilots through Air Georgian's PML and other Air Canada Express partners.

Cargair Flight Academy has developed an excellent international training reputation during its 56 years in business. With a fleet of more than 50 aircraft and 7 simulators distributed in four bases across the province of Quebec, Cargair trains more than 200 commercial pilots a year. 

About Max Aviation
Max Aviation has been a leader in charter services for the past 40 years. With a fleet of 8 Beechcraft King Air 100 and 200 and five operating bases in Quebec, Max Aviation is a business partner for many private and public companies across the province.
