EaseCentral Partners With Covered California For Small Business

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, EaseCentral, leading all-in-one SaaS platform for HR and benefits, announced an unprecedented integration with Covered California for Small Business, California's health insurance marketplace and one of the most successful state-based small business employee choice exchanges in the country. Together they will revolutionize the enrollment process for General Agents and certified agents, and the small businesses they work with, across the State of California.

Since EaseCentral automates the enrollment process, certified agents and the general agents who assist them, will no longer have to manually add enrollments into Covered California for Small Business' system. Through this partnership, certified agents can achieve a seamless enrollment process. Certified agents can even attach supporting documents to the group's application through EaseCentral. To date, no other state based small business exchange offers access to technology with such potential to streamline and optimize workflow.

The integration's biggest beneficiaries will be small businesses. Both Covered California for Small Business and EaseCentral are committed to helping small businesses provide great benefits: Covered California for Small Business offers an extensive variety of offerings at an affordable cost, allowing employees to choose the insurance carrier and the benefit plan the offers them the best value, while EaseCentral eliminates the need for expensive paper-based enrollment. On average, traditional enrollment costs employers more than $70 in time and resources from start to finish; however, EaseCentral reduces costs to just a couple of dollars.

"At EaseCentral, we believe in technology's ability to make healthcare easier. Additionally, the subsequent cost savings are crucial, especially for small businesses. Automation opens the door to re-allocating resources, costs and time to other aspects of the company. Time and time again, we've seen that investing in the adoption of these tools positively impacts bottom line, in almost every case," said David Reid, CEO and co-founder of EaseCentral.

"By adding this partnership with EaseCentral to the many ways we support small business, small businesses who use EaseCentral will enjoy better connectivity with the certified insurance agents and general agents, that will make enrolling in Covered California for Small Business even easier," said Peter V. Lee, Executive Director of Covered California.

Claremont Insurance Services, a General Agent and one of the top sales partners for Covered California for Small Business, has been testing the new integration extensively.

"We have tested this new integration extensively and see significant operational efficiencies, from less time spent entering data, to faster turnaround of new group approvals and installations from Covered California for Small Business," said Michael Traynor, President, Claremont Insurance Services.

With this latest integration, EaseCentral is now working with more than 30,000 employers, servicing nearly 1 million enrollees.  The company has seen record growth since its inception in 2012 and is expanding into several new markets in 2017.
