Media Conference - OPP Launches Operation Safe Trucking with Innovative Approach to Targeting Distracted Transport Truck Drivers


TORONTO, Dec. 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to join the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as they kick off a new road safety initiative that focuses on Commercial Motor Vehicle safety.

OPP Deputy Commissioner Brad BLAIR will release details about the initiative and the OPP's innovative approach to spotting transport truck drivers (and other drivers) that are distracted or engaged in other dangerous driving behaviours.  

Some of the unconventional enforcement vehicles being deployed for this initiative will be onsite during the kick-off. 

One-on-one interviews will be available following the speaking segment.
