Contemporary Artist TaeHue Son Oe-kyung Gripped the International Stage


SEOUL, South Korea, Dec. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- At the Caroussel du Louvre, Paris, the art exhibition for the selected artists of the Salon SNBA 2017 is going on from December 7 to December 10. Korean artist Son Oe-kyung was selected at the competition, which gained her an opportunity to present her works in Paris.

The Salon SNBA is one of the representing event of SNBA (Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts), funded by the French government and held in every December. SNBA was founded in 1861 by the prominent French poet and writer, Théophile Gautier (1811-1872) and Louis Martinet (1814-1985) who asserted "art for art's sake". In the same year, Jean-Louis-Ernst Meissonier (1815-1846) and Puvis de Chavannier (1824-1898) established the Salon. It is an historic art salon, in which artworks of all around the world are gathered to be appreciated.

Artist Son Oe-kyung is known for her oil paintings' expressing the vitality of life with dots. There are many fans of her around the world. The limitless amount of dots expresses the vitality, and all of the different dots are gathered to create another evolved creature. Through her work, she shows how the new and beautiful harmony is made by the diverse and a number of people gathered on her canvas as dots.

Besides, since one of TaeHue Son Oe-kyung's piece was sold at 10,000 euros on the second day of the Salon SNBA 2017, she is getting more attention from the visitors and other professionals in the art world.

Son has also won a prize from the Grand-Palais le Salon des Independant, which is the representing governmental art exhibition of France symbolizing the French esteem. Through the exhibition planned to open in February 2018, her artworks will be presented to introduce herself as a Korean artist who have pursued to create new shifts in the world art market.
