2017 SDxCentral Next-gen Software-defined (SDx) Infrastructure Assurance Report Now Available

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SDxCentral announces the availability of a new report: The 2017 Next-gen Software-defined (SDx) Infrastructure Assurance Report that examines the evolution of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Network Performance Monitoring (NPM).

As SDx (software-defined everything) infrastructure takes root within today's enterprise, cloud service provider and communications service provider data centers, the need for a new generation of capacity management, monitoring and troubleshooting tools becomes more critical.

APM and NPM solutions need to evolve to serve new SDx architectures characterized by virtualization, automation and programmability. These new architectures that include heavy use of virtual machines (VMs), container and other cloud infrastructure technologies need an adapted approach.

The report will cover these trends, along with infrastructure moves to SDN (software-defined networking) and NFV (network functions virtualization) and what they mean for APM and NPM solutions. Other items covered include changing user requirements, critical gaps and potential opportunities for growth. The report will also include the examination of converged infrastructure performance management approaches and the use of network packet brokers (NPB) as part of NPM deployments.

This report is complimentary and available for download at SDxCentral.com. Vendors who are interested in participating in future versions of this report or other reports published by SDxCentral.com can contact SDxCentral's research team at https://www.sdxcentral.com/participate.
