Patrick Lemaire Named CEO of the Year, SME Category, by Les Affaires Magazine

MONTRÉAL, Dec. 6, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Boralex Inc. (TSX: BLX) is pleased to announce that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Lemaire, was named CEO of the Year, in the SME Category, by Les Affaires magazine.

"My greatest accomplishment at the head of Boralex is to have achieved the vision of my father, Bernard Lemaire, while maintaining the values that he instilled in the company when he founded it," said Mr. Lemaire. He also thanked all of the employees for their outstanding work and the board members for their trust and support, which are essential to Boralex's success.

"This is a well-deserved honour!" said Alain Rhéaume, Boralex's Chairman of the Board. "Boralex is now the largest independent producer of onshore wind power in France, is a leader in renewable energy production in Canada, is well-established in the United States, and now has a portfolio of projects in the United Kingdom. All of these achievements are due to Patrick's rigour and determination, which demonstrates his competence in leading his team and ensuring Boralex's growth."

What were the rules?

The jury, composed mainly of economics journalists, was asked to assess the vision, innovation, implementation capacity and achievements of candidates, while taking into account the growth achieved by companies under their leadership. The selection criteria also included integrity and reputation.

Mr. Lemaire would like to congratulate the other two 2017 winners, Christiane Germain, Co-President, Group Germain Hotels, and José Boisjoli, President and CEO, BRP.

Last month, the British magazine A Word About Wind ranked Patrick Lemaire 58th in its annual list of the most influential wind industry players.
