Comprehensive Pharmacy Services and AssistRx Partner to Bring Caret(TM) Platform to Hospital Specialty Pharmacy Marketplace

MEMPHIS, TN and ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - December 04, 2017) - Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) and AssistRx announced today that they have forged a strategic partnership for CPS to bring AssistRx's Caret therapy management platform for specialty medications to hospitals and health systems in the U.S.

Caret is a leading web-based therapy management platform that was created to align, streamline and unite the complex system of care for specialized conditions. By delivering actionable data and enhancing communication between all patient care stakeholders, Caret builds efficiencies that result in improved patient outcomes and greater business impact.

"Clinical information and outcomes are the key currency in healthcare today," said Jody Miller, President of Ambulatory and Specialty Pharmacy for CPS. "Caret provides a best-in-class platform for hospitals and health systems with the ability to track and manage patient care and complex therapies, and then report that critical data to providers, payers and pharma in order to advance quality patient care."

As the nation's largest pharmacy services provider with over 700 health system and hospital clients, CPS has the reach to make the Caret platform available throughout the country. Hospitals and health systems can acquire the Caret platform in one of two ways:

  1. License Caret from CPS as a stand-alone tool
  2. CPS client sites can choose to embed the software into their specialty pharmacies.

"We couldn't be more excited about this partnership with CPS," said Jeff Spafford, President and CEO, AssistRx. "As the largest pharmacy support organization in the healthcare space, CPS was the obvious choice to bring Caret to the healthcare market. As CPS continues its expansion into Specialty Pharmacy, we are delighted that CPS is now the clear go-to company for leading edge pharmacy support and access to Caret."

"Through this partnership, CPS provides even more value to hospitals and health systems, whether they are working with CPS or just want to get the benefits of the Caret platform and operate it on their own," said Calvin Johnson (CJ), CEO of CPS. "As the frontline of support for hospitals and health systems, our goal at CPS is to achieve better patient outcomes, cost savings and operational excellence by offering platforms such as Caret."
