Government of Canada awards $45,000 in financial assistance to a new digital business in Val-d'Or

VAL-D'OR, QC, Nov. 30, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Businesses need to be able to rely on adequate resources to create and commercialize innovative products. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting innovative Canadian businesses. As a true economic driver, innovation is the key to success because it generates growth that benefits businesses and communities.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, announced that Cible Petite-Enfance Inc. has been granted $45,000 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution. With this support, the business can start up its activities, which consist in developing a digital platform that will offer specialized resources to small enterprises and organizations that provide child care and other early childhood services.

This new business started out as an initiative by two women entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the early childhood sector, and provides subscribers with information capsules, videos and blogs on child care services. The funding awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program will help the business design, program and launch its digital platform, and market and disseminate its services.
