"Our children will likely have jobs that never even existed in prior generations. Thus, the need for computer and technology education in our schools is greater than ever," said Jennifer Ayotte, department dean for the Rasmussen College School of Technology. "As an institution of higher learning, we see the value in inspiring even our youngest learners to get involved in the many opportunities within computer science to help fill skills gaps in this growing and evolving field. Rasmussen College is pleased to offer this fun Code Road game as part of Computer Science Education Week, and we encourage teachers and parents to dedicate just one hour of their time to play the game with the children in their lives."

New Game Helps Demystify Coding for Kids

Code Road is a fun and easy game that helps kids, and the young at heart, to understand how their favorite games are made, as well as experience firsthand that coding doesn't have to be intimidating.

In the game, players will help direct our Super Student to graduation using the arrow keys to navigate her through the maze. With each move, RassyScript code will populate showcasing how programing languages work.
