Banking and Securities Secretary Robin L. Wiessmann Recognized as One of Pennsylvania's '50 Over 50'
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Secretary of Banking and Securities Robin L. Wiessmann was recognized as one of Pennsylvania's "50 Over 50" by City & State Pennsylvania. The award honors the most influential Pennsylvanians in government, business, culture and social services to have passed the half-century milestone.

Among Secretary Wiessmann's ground-breaking accomplishments in her current role:
Creation of one of the nation's first state regulatory Cybersecurity Task Forces, which provides businesses access to resources and industry best practices to bolster cybersecurity policies and practices
Leadership of Governor Wolf's Consumer Financial Protection Initiative, which works to protect consumers and business from illegal lending; protect senior citizens from financial abuse; and help working adults save for retirement
Reorganizing and refocusing the department's consumer services and business outreach functions, including publishing the first Consumer Services Office Annual Report
She is also a well-known pioneer in financial circles, having served as Pennsylvania State Treasurer, and founding principal and president of Artemis Capital Group, the first women-owned investment banking firm on Wall Street.
