Initiative to Partition California Begins Ballot Process

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, November 17, Three State CA, an initiative that would partition California into three states, began the process of getting the measure on the ballot for the 2018 election. Legendary venture capitalist, educator, and innovator Tim Draper spearheads the effort.

"California's government needs a fresh start," Draper said. "Our 6,226,737 students should be getting a great education. Our roads, waterways, and bridges need to shine again. And our taxes need to go to what matters: Real government services like infrastructure and education."

Three State CA is committed to solving California's most pressing issues, including the state's failing school systems, high taxes, deteriorating roads and infrastructure, and strained government.

Three State CA officially launched its website, ThreeCAs.com, on Tuesday. Residents can sign up on the website to learn more about the initiative and the potential benefits. The Three State CA team began collecting signatures on Friday, November 17.

"ThreeCAs will give Californians better education, better infrastructure, and lower taxes," Draper added. "Three new state governments will be able to start fresh, to innovate, and better serve their people."
