BMO Executives Among WXN Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women

TORONTO, Nov. 22, 2017 /CNW/ - For the second year in a row, two outstanding leaders from BMO Financial Group have been named to WXN Canada's Most Powerful Women list. Christine Cooper and Joanna Rotenberg will be honoured at a Top 100 Summit and Awards Gala, which will be held tomorrow night at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Both have raised their voices, rallied and inspired others within BMO and in their communities. They are leaders of strength and resilience who continue to pave a path for the next generation.

As Head of BMO's Canadian Corporate Finance Division, North American Commercial Banking, Christine Cooper carries the most senior-level credit granting authority provided within the bank. She has a strong customer focus and is viewed by her clients as a trusted advisor. Ms. Cooper is invested in developing and leading high-performance teams and is a passionate advocate for building strong communities. She dedicates her time to coach women and men to succeed in the industry, and provides her support as a speaker, fundraiser and board member to a number of community organizations.

Described as an "innovative business strategist" and  a "strategic leader" who is "continously raising the bar," Joanna Rotenberg is Group Head, BMO Wealth Management, the most senior woman within the enterprise and the youngest group head BMO has ever appointed. She started her career as a partner and leader of McKinsey's Wealth Management practice before joining BMO where she was instrumental in facilitating our largest ever acquisition and spearheaded revitalization of our brand. She is also the Program Executive Sponsor for BMO for Women. Ms. Rotenberg is active in the Toronto community as a member of the Board of Directors of Sinai Health System Foundation and Chair of the Operating Effectiveness and Technology subcommittee of the Board of Directors of the Sinai Health System. Additionally, she is Chair of the Rotman Financial Services Advisory Board, a member of Ontario's Panel on Economic Growth and Prosperity and a member of the Board of Directors for Nesbitt Burns Holdings Corporation.
